Bergin Bras-Maudit

Bergin woke up on the shores of Terre des Brumes. Face first on the sandy beach, woods of an apparent wreckage landed with him. No clue of how or why he was there. the more he tried to remember the less it made sense. Memories of a ship floating in his minds were quickly fading away, faces of his assumed crew were distorted, names forgotten. The only constant in his memories were the eyes... Always clear, not human in nature and staring at him.

A single word flashed into his mind. Survive.

Even with a sore body he found the strength to gather as much wreckage and loot from the shore before settling in for the night. With a weak fire he found enough heat to dry himself and his clothes before shutting is eyes for a restfull night of sleep... or so he thought.

The winds died down, the warmth of the fire wasnt there anymore, the ominous sounds of terre des brumes werent singing their songs anymore. A black space, like a cavern carved from obsidian, surrounded him. No flame, no light source—yet he could see. The "walls" shimmered like stone and starlight. And he wasn’t alone. Eyes opened above him like distant stars. They looked tiny at first, but these eyes blinked closer and closer to him. Starred at from all angles A whisper, a thought, a command filled the void:

“Survive. I am watching.”

When Bergin woke again, he was back on the shore—but something had changed. A strange growth had appeared on his arm. A patch of his skin had darkened and twisted. And then—an eye opened.. He wandered, hunting and eating what he could. Time lost all meaning. Until he found the Court of Shikari, a strange bunch, yet he felt weirdly accepted. With them that eyes weren't making themselves known. He settled with them. And for once, a dreamless night
