Agnar the Furious – Character Backstory

Once known as Sir Agnar of Thornevale, he was a noble knight sworn to House Elvared, a respected and ancient family that ruled the highlands of the Ember Crest. Born into a proud lineage of warriors, Agnar was raised with the values of loyalty, honor, and sacrifice. He inherited not just his father's sword, but the sprawling lands of Greystone Hollow, where his family had lived for generations.

Agnar was a decorated champion in the king’s war against the northern tribes. His valor on the battlefield earned him titles, coin, and the admiration of the realm. But while he bled for the crown, dark hands were turning the gears of betrayal behind court walls.

Agnar's closest ally, Lord Malric Vane, a cunning noble with a talent for deceit, orchestrated a false charge of treason against him. The king, fearful of Agnar’s growing influence, saw fit to believe the lies rather than the man who had won him a dozen victories. Stripped of his titles and exiled, Agnar returned home to find Greystone Hollow seized, his banner torn down, his family slaughtered in the night by mercenaries loyal to Vane.

They left him alive — a message.

Something in him broke that day. The honorable knight died, and Agnar the Furious was born.

Now a grim and towering figure clad in weathered mail and bearing a jagged blade named "Oathbreaker," Agnar wanders the realm as a mercenary, bounty hunter, and rebel. Rage is his companion, vengeance his only purpose. Yet beneath the fury lies a strategic mind and a heart that still flickers with the remnants of justice.

His quest is not just revenge — it is reclamation. Of land. Of name. Of soul.
