Origin Story

I never knew my parents. All I have are scraps of stories — whispered rumors from villagers about a fire that consumed my family’s home the night I was born. Whether they died protecting me or abandoned me to fate, I’ll never know. The only thing I do remember is the cold stone steps of the orphanage where I grew up, and the faces of the other children huddled beside me on bitter nights. We survived because we had each other. We shared every crust of bread, every scrap of warmth. Loyalty wasn’t just a virtue — it was the only thing that kept us alive.

By the time I was old enough to walk, I learned that the world doesn’t wait for the weak. So I ran errands for sailors, scavenged in markets, and climbed rooftops to find hidden corners where I could watch the horizon. I didn’t dream of riches — I dreamed of escape. Of finding a place where I belonged.

When I was sixteen, I defended one of my closest friends at the orphanage from a cruel dockhand who had stolen our food. I nearly lost my life in the fight, but the act caught the eye of a weathered old captain — a man with more scars than teeth, but a strange sense of honor. He offered me a place aboard his ship, The Azure Star, bound for lands far beyond the maps I’d seen as a child.

I hesitated at first. The sea terrified me — endless water, no walls to hide behind. But I looked at my ragged clothes, the small trinkets of loyalty I carried from my childhood — and I stepped aboard.

The crew became my first real family. A grinning rogue who taught me how to gamble (and cheat fairly), a scholar who read the stars like scripture, and a quiet warrior who fought not for glory but for the people beside him. Each one of them showed me a different way to live, and for the first time, I felt that loyalty was being given back to me — not just taken.

Now, with a new crew and found family, the ship sails toward an unknown shore of Mundas. One night on our journey, a storm came and nearly killed us except in our time of dire need, the Leviathan showed us the way to land. We have committed ourselves to it's greatness and are founding a guild in her honor at GB 1025.

I don’t know what waits for us — treasure, danger, maybe even a home. But I do know this: I’ll fight for the people beside me until my last breath. Because loyalty, to me, is worth more than any fortune the sea could ever offer.
