Fern

Fern wasn’t born from a quiet, ancient forest—she sprang to life in a burst of sunlight and laughter, deep within a grove that hummed with life. Her earliest memories are of dancing with butterflies, racing squirrels through the trees, and splashing in forest streams. From the moment she emerged, Fern was filled with vibrant energy, eager to discover every secret the natural world had to offer. The trees whispered tales of distant lands, the rivers sang of adventures, and she knew she couldn’t just stay in her little patch of woods forever.

While many nymphs find contentment in stillness, Fern is always on the move, excited to see what lies just beyond the next hill. Her excitement is contagious; wherever she goes, flowers seem to bloom brighter, birds chirp louder, and even the grumpiest of old oaks can’t help but sway in time with her laughter. She once convinced a willow tree to join her in a dance that lasted an entire day and night!

When she first encountered humans, Fern was fascinated. She’s had all kinds of adventures—once getting tangled in a village’s maypole dance, and even leading a parade of woodland creatures through a town square, much to the delight of the children.
