Goombazzo di Rema

As a proud member of the di Remas, Goombazzo dedicated much of his early life to living up to the expectations of his people. He poured fastidiously over scrolls of dubious arcane knowledge, trying to discover the secrets of all elemental materials. No trek was too perilous, no bazaar too shadowy to impede his quest for the forgotten keys to the earth and heavens. After decades of acquiring and decoding scrolls, after a thousand self inflicted injuries in the name of alchemy, after a quarter of a lifetime of dead end leads and the insane writings of history's greatest mad men, Goombazzo became disillusioned with the search. Is there any real glory in a life squandered to the folly of pride? Goombazzo did not know. All he knew was isolation. His only bosom companion was the craft. And these texts gave him no solace. His potions could not hold his hands and help him weather the storm of age and loss. He called upon his brother and sought respite, a friend even. Adventure, if it would have him. Despite falling short of the prize he desired to use what he had learned to make his mark on the world. He would quest.
