Origin Story

Harleen of the Wild Tides Born beneath a blood moon's glare, Harleen’s first cries echoed across the cursed cove of Throat Bay, her icey eyes and curled obsidian horns marking her a tiefling — a child touched by infernal blood. Her white eyes, empty yet piercing, seemed to see what others could not. The crew of the Black Reaver, a motley band of sea-scourged pirates, found her swaddled in rags among the wreckage of a burning vessel. They raised her not as a child, but as one of their own — forged in salt, steel, and smoke. From the crows’ nest to the edge of a cutlass, Harleen earned her place with grit and laughter sharper than any blade. She danced through battles like a tempest, clever, wild, and untamed. She believed in nothing but the sea and her crew. Gods? Just stories for the weak. But time washes even stone. When the Black Reaver fell to ruin in a battle with the Crimson Navy, Harleen was cast adrift. She should have died — but fate had other plans. She was pulled aboard the Storm Wraith, captained by, a pirate lord with a taste for freedom and fire. For years, she sailed with Eliath’s crew, a sister among thieves once more — but something in her heart itched. The sea was no longer enough. Then came Mother Runa, the God-Mother of the Fae — radiant, terrible, and wild as the world before men. She found Harleen during a storm that swallowed three ships whole. Instead of drowning, Harleen awoke on a silver shore, kissed by moonlight, surrounded by singing lilies and whispering trees. Runa had seen her soul — fierce, fractured, but open — and took her under wing. Runa led her not to worship, but to wonder. She guided Harleen to a hidden cove deep in the roots of the world, where misfits and magical beasts gathered under one banner — the crew of Konchen Frieser, a savage bone-fae with eyes of ash and a voice like thunder. Konchen saw something in Harleen that not even she had recognized: not just a survivor, but a soul aching to belong. She gave her a ship — The Gale Force— carved from shipwrecks and dreams, stitched with sails of spider silk and spell-bound linen. Among this new family — dryads who wept honey, goblins who brewed storm wine, selkies and smoke spirits — Harleen found peace. And faith. She came to believe in Aventyr, an old Norse god of luck and chance, the gambler of destinies and unseen hands. She didn’t pray with words — she lived her belief through action, through fierce joy and sacred chaos. Her faith burned so brightly it lit the Veil, and Aventyr took notice. She granted her the power to heal, not through doctrine, but through instinct. Wounds closed beneath her touch. Despair lifted in her presence. Now, Harleen the Horned Priestess sails under the banners of both mischief and mercy. With white eyes that see into the weave of fate, and horns crowned with charms of bone and star-metal, she is a storm wrapped in laughter — a healer, a pirate, a tiefling touched by divine luck. And wherever she goes, stories follow — of a girl with infernal blood and a god’s light in her hands, who carved her place in a world that never meant to give her one.
