Origin Story
Kazan-Mo Kobayashi is a wave-man, a Ronin, a wandering soul, a warrior with no lord. Born to a clan of barbaric humans and raised in his early life in The Obilivion Territories, raised to fight and feed on the feral flesh of his clans prey. A caste and stock of barbaric human warlords and warriors that lived aside the Orcs, goblines, and other creatures and races of the territories. Around the age of 9-10 years of age his clan had allied with other skirmishing and nomadic parties leading a raiding pilgrimage that would bring his combined people throough many of the ports and bays of small south-eastern colonies and villages. Things were profitable, and the unamed child that would one day be Kazan-Mo was happy that he was able to run freely through the burning villages and battlefields his people pillaged and left to turn to ash, because for his people this was life found in blood, ash, and battle- survival over all. Though when the small fleet arrived in the waters off eastern coast of Ozame everything would change. Typhoons would crush theyre raiding party, killing almost everyone. Those who werent killed by the storms were slaughtered on the beaches of Ozame by a well informed and a well prepared Ozame military group. The unamed child would be spared and sold as an indentured servent to a local fief lord. Thus he was to be raised in the far flung eastern isles adopting a traditional and local name to his region. He performed gruling work and hard labor, refusing to learn much of the language or eat in defiance. Though when a night came when the fief lords home was invaded by would be assassins Kazan-Mo would slay one of the tresspassers using a kitchen knife he had stolen away to use in a possible plot of escape, it just so happened this foe would fall dead outside of the lords bedroom door and a beserk and starving Kazan-mo would stab the man many times till he was dragged away by the lords guards. For this Kazan-Mo was relieved of his status as a servant and was given to a once legendary swordsman turned drunkard of a man, performing his house duties and sutdying under him in the ways of the local dilaect and swordwork, swordwork that seemed to intrigue and fascinate the boy. Though the drunkard master was a lost soul himself, living a life of scars and stringent codes of honor- Kazan-Mo would have to find most of his combat experience through trial by fire with local groups of bandits or wandering swordsman who wished to challenge Kazan-Mo's master and be sent to fight in his place. He served for quite some time until the fief they served fell and his old master died. Kazan-Mo turned to the work of Sellswords and Mercenaries, he himself finding his way as Ronin in far flung barren territories and overpacked cities alike. His services are simple, his goals are set. He lives for coin, glory, and status. To live by the old way and his own moral code, existing in a gray space of alignment between an old code of honor and acts of necessity and profit. He holds the flaming heart of a warrior seeking glory and honor while in his youth. To experience as a stranger in a stranger land.
He will offer services accordingly and seek work that fits his skills and specialization. Blade for hire, protection and escorts, bounty work, gambling, debt collection, and sword craft. Kazan-Mo wishes to make powerful allies, and trust worthy brothers in arms. He is a blank slate and ready to be molded by the world around him to experience the lands ahead.
To live by the sword, and to die by the sword.
