Laika

The Weaver of Solstice A great flood erased the village beneath the trees, reviving an ancient lake cursed long ago by magic lingering in the fog. Entire bloodlines vanished beneath silt and stone, including a young fox fae, berry in name, forgotten to time. Once known by another name, Laika was reborn from stars and earth after violent tragedy. She awoke beneath still waters, breathed in air unknown, and emerged guided by the stars above. One star burned brighter than the rest, shone so bight it echoed its memory upon closed eyes. It urged her forward to a destination unrevealed. She wandered until a wolf pack found her. Rather than attack, they welcomed her with curiosity and kindness, teaching her the stars, the hunt, and survival through winter. They called her Laika, a fae that fell from the stars. Without them, she would not have known how treacherous the winter would be. Laika left the wolves not by choice, but because something within her called her onward. Though warned against crossing the frozen lands, the pull followed her into sleep. The wolves were never seen again, hunted down and slain by mortals driven by greed. The Wolf forged from stars, stranger to all, built a sanctuary under the very celestial bodies that created her. It was a haven for fae who found comfort in darkness. Beside her were the Keepers of Time, beings that radiated ancient familiarity. Drawn by visions, Laika crossed the sea toward foreign lands. With no proper captain to guide her, she convinced a landlogged crew to grant her passage across the Bay of Flames. Guileless she may be, deceived they still were. Laika Nox, The Captain that Never Was, fooled a crew of four. The voyage ended in tempest and ruin. Laika survived only because of a forgotten force from legend: the Leviathan. Rather than drag her beneath the waves to the underworld, the creature carried her ashore where she was met with strangers as equally as disheveled as she. They too were saved by the unfathomable creature. The Wolf made camp with them, broke bread, found family, and joined numerous adventures with the newly dubbed Scions of Leviathan.
