Year Season Text
Lunar, an alchemist from a town built by astronomers, felt an unexpected urge for adventure one day. Without much thought, he left for Bicolline, only realizing after a day's journey that he had no money. Not wanting to give up, he dug through his bag and found some herbs and inks, then put on jester make-up, thinking he might perform for a living. But he wasn't very good at it. Despite this, he kept the make-up on and decided to take on quests and odd jobs instead. He believed in following his instincts and doing what felt right.

Origin Story

The region Lunar grew up in was experiencing a plague borne of a curse triggered by the death of an angry forest spirit. It spread like wildfire throughout the region, not even the best healers around could figure out how to cure the sickness. Lunar, being from a town built by astronomers, had a natural curiosity and traveled to the forest where it was said the curse originated from and got infected himself. Despite being a skilled alchemist, Lunar couldn't figure out how to cure himself and died. Not even a full day after his death, a necromancer looking to raise an army and take over the region, stopped by and brought Lunar back as a zombie. Immediately Lunar was mad. He was happy he was alive but the frustation of having to follow his "creator's" commands infuriated him to no end. He wanted to explore, he wanted his freedom. Lunar didn't decay much, except for around his mouth, so he stitched himself up and began trying to figure out loopholes he can use to gain control back of himself. The only thing he was able to find was that he only had to follow the verbal commands of the creator but the main issue he found was that if the necromancer were to die or cancel the magic, Lunar would also. So after years of looking for anyway around the magic, Lunar almost lost hope until he started to recognize the signs of the plague in the necromancer. Being one of the corps with intact vocal cords, the necromancer allowed Lunar to freely speak. Lunar walked up to the necromancer, and informed him that he had the incurable plague and will die in a week - but being an alchemist with a vast knowledge of astronomy, he could cure it. That was a lie, of course, all apart of the loophole Lunar had planned. He had found a way to technically cure the necromancer, become the necromancer's new master, and prevent any new commands to be spoken from his mouth. All he had to do was convince the necromancer to let him transfer his soul somewhere safer. It was a lot easier to convince the foolish wizard than he thought, preying upon the necromancer's fears of losing everything he had built up. The necromancer commanded Lunar to "transfer his soul somewhere safe from the plague and cure him", and Lunar obeyed. He put the necromancer's soul in a voodoo doll. An object that was plague free and safe from ever becoming infected. Now free to do what he wanted, Lunar attached the voodoo doll to his belt and looted the necromancer's book of spells from his souless body. He left for a new journey, one with the goal of finding a cure for the plague that had caused all of this.
