Maddigan Burgeon

Maddigan Burgeon is a one-eyed mercenary captain from the Iron Frontier, a harsh borderland shaped by scattered settlements, roaming violence, and hard-won independence. Broad-shouldered and battle-worn, he carries himself with the relaxed confidence of a man who has survived more fights than most men have seen.

He began in formal military service within his homeland, where he received disciplined training in formation combat and command structure. After completing his term, he joined a mercenary guild at the urging of his friend Ruger Wylddog and traveled overseas to fight in the old empire’s wars. There, Maddigan expanded his education in combat—studying fencing, saber work, shield disciplines, and ultimately adopting a Murmillo-inspired shield style built around forward dominance, pressure, and endurance.
