Gaius Umbra Manus

As a young boy, he grew up hunting in the woods, helping his father and uncles trap and hunt. They would trade with another local group, a group of retired bandits, who had left the world for a more peaceful life.

He learned to wrestle and what the outside world was like from them. As he got older, he picked up a sword, and the older men's teasing slowly turned to that of respect.

Gaius was curious. Not one to speak much, he wanted to see the world with his own eyes. See what he could do, if people were really as dangerous as his uncles had said.

Captured along the road, Gaius was sold into slavery. His new masters threw him into the fighting pits, and there is where the found his way.

Struggling to survive, one day Gaius managed to win the favor of a Senator, Ignatius. Ignatius promised Gaius his freedom, and a path towards his dreams, if he would help Ignatius with his. Together they would leave their mark. 

Gaius swore then that he would repay Ignatius's great kindness and be his hand or shadow whenever needed.
