"Rhunalia woke up disoriented in a field in 1023, her memory hazy. A persistent ringing in her ears and throbbing pain throughout her body left her too weak to even scream. Surrounding her were the lifeless forms of animals, their blood staining her hands. She roamed the Mundas forests until discovered by the fae of the Spring Court, who took her in, tended to her wounds, and noticed an unusual rune on her back. This mysterious mark would eventually become her namesake, as she knew little else about her past.
Living among the fae of the Spring Court for several months, Rhunalia began to feel a growing sense of unease. Despite embracing her fae identity as a member of Tisage de Vie, her inability to use glamour to conceal her canine features troubled her. Over the past year, these features had only intensified—more fur, more feral tendencies. Though her companions helped her control these impulses, she feared harming those she cared for. Eventually, she left the Spring Court and found solace with a new family in Ete Invincible.
Her connection to the moon and her evolving feelings deepened her faith in Grande Chasse, yet she remained uncertain about her fae nature. She wondered if it concealed a darker, cursed aspect of herself, a question for which she found no clear answers."

Origin Story

In 1024, Rhune sought aid from the Mages’ Tower, desperate to unravel the meaning behind the nightmares that had haunted her since her arrival in Mundas. Her journey led her down a path of shadowed alliances, where she encountered practitioners of dark magic. One such figure—a necromancer introduced to her by the Great Khan—agreed to help in his own sinister way. His ritual, steeped in necromancy, tore through her very essence. The pain was indescribable, as if her soul was being forcibly torn from her body. Darkness claimed her, the agony fading only when unconsciousness took hold. When she awoke, her hands bore the mark of the ritual’s toll—her fingers blackened and lifeless, as though burned by some infernal fire. The mage had succeeded in creating a soul stone from her suffering, a tool for his own purposes, but Rhune was left changed. Though the mages found value in her notes, which helped uncover fragments of her dreams’ meaning, something deeper—darker—had taken root within her.

Over the months that followed, the effects of the necromancy became impossible to ignore. The skin of her left hand rotted away, leaving nothing but exposed bone. Strangely, the hand still functioned as if untouched by decay. To avoid suspicion, Rhune wore gloves in public, concealing the grotesque reminder of her ordeal. Yet the true price of the ritual revealed itself in her primal form. As a Tisage de Vie, Rhune was no stranger to transformation, often finding solace in the wildness of her black-and-white wolf form. But when she joined a group of fae who embraced their primal natures, she realized hers had been irreparably altered. Her form had become something monstrous—a decayed, feral beast with patchy fur hanging over exposed bone. Glowing green light poured from her empty eyes and mouth, her skull carved with runes that pulsed with unnatural energy. She has only managed to summon this form once, but the memory of it lingers like a scar. The raw power it offers both terrifies and intrigues her.

Now, Rhune seeks to embrace this duality—the decayed feral beast born of necromancy and the resilient wolf spirit that represents her true self. Though her body decays and her soul feels frayed, she presses forward, determined to find strength in both what she has become and the truths she has uncovered. Rhune clings to the hope that, even in her corruption, there is still a path to wholeness.
