Rían Meris

When Rían lived in the Faewylds, she was a member of the Seelie Court. She took great pains to ensure the continuity of their safe haven, participating in rituals to return magic to the Faewylds. Although she was young when she crossed The Veil, she can still remember the prosecution her people faced.

As the years passed, she grew more and more discontent with the Seelie Court. The significance of their ancient rituals were slowly forgotten, and the Faewylds began to decay, diminish, and disappear due to negligence. Despite her best attempts, nothing could reverse the damage that was being caused.

Rían was asked to return to Mundus to establish another safe haven for her people, but instead of doing so, she found a safe haven for herself. The Veil deposits her in Terres de Sud.

Her arrival is far from graceful. She washes up on the shores of Terres de Sud and is discovered by Nadine, a member of Les Fidèles, during one of her mud-larking expeditions. She is assumed dead at first, but Nadine quickly discovers that she is alive. 

Due to her rough arrival in Terres de Sud, she does not remember much of her life in the Faewylds. She does not wish to return. 

As a New Fae, she is fond of light, especially the sparkle of light on water. She has glittery freckles, carries a kaleidoscope, and moths are attracted to her. She is also fond of sea glass, abalone, and other shiny trinkets, but she does not hoard them for herself. You may find yourself on the receiving end of a trinket exchange upon meeting her. 

You will often find her with her guitar in hand, sharing her love of singing with others. She learned many songs in her time by the sea, committing them to memory in order to forge a future for herself. In her heart of hearts, she aspires to become a bard of great renown. Music makes her soul sing, and she takes great joy in bringing that out in others.
