Roal Seyelland

Roal was born and raised in a nomadic family of the Dourdun people that live along the great desert river Ourgadon. Themself, their siblings, 15 legally recognized and distinct parents, many cousins, and assorted blood-bonded friends are all part of the Dourdun'Hue family. Roal spent each summer crewing trade barges and caravans along the Ourgadon River from Kazarun to the port of Brax, and each winter watching over the family's herds in the distant mountains. Roal sought more than their nomadic life in 1016, a few years after King Rathan declared Terres du Sud as its own country - they adopted a new-fangled "last name" after spying a fun word on a cargo manifest and began thoroughly enjoying their new freedoms and rights granted post-Sultan. They joined Darganof Trading Company in its inaugural year of 1018 and have been with the guild ever since. In between vacation trading runs with their family, Roal is a courtier, wastrel, and man-about-town in Koliov where they are employed as an an aide to the Duchess Ylva Njalsdottir ... though their job description usually boils down to "powers should only be used for good, or for making Ylva's life easier". Duchess Ylva has declined to comment other than making the face she's making while reading this paragraph. Over their years of membership in Darganof Trading Company, Roal has done their best to improve their family's standing, make new friends, and become Bicolline's next top model. The world always offers chances to get rich and have a great time doing it, so the rest of life is living fast, staying out of trouble, and having a good cover.
