Sanir Havenfire

Sanir was the second son of the Havenfire Family, a merchant family within the southlands. Born to late to take over the family's matters, his father opted to convince him to look into being a mage for either their house or a family they sought to make allies of. As a kid he preferred to watch his brother and father spar with blades, so convincing him to trade it for the study of the arcane took some time. Eventually he relented to focusing on his studies of a type of "bladesong" technique, something that would assist in combat should he needed. He came to realize quickly that something was strange about the mages he trained under. They had a rather large turn out for students, who would quickly "go off to better places" following a private ceremony with the cabal. He determined that the prodigy students were being consumed by the mage cabal, a group of lesser liches corrupted by the magics they studied. Sanir tried to convince other of this but few believed him. So rather then throw his life away against them, he sought to find mage slayers who might be able to assist him or train him to stand a chance against them. Finding the Covenant of the Black Rose as allies after hearing their origin against the vampire king, Sanir joined after acquiring a trusted house guard of his family known as Romemic. A bit lost in his endevours, he has blended in rather well with the mercenary lifestyle the guild encouraged around him for the moment. The Mages like the Cabal still need to be dealt with.
