Spud

Born in the hidden woodland village of Verdant Vale, a young fae girl emerged from the soil among the potatoes. Potatoe season was always abundant for the village, but never had the residents experienced THIS result from their crops. Luckily for the little sprout, the people showed her kindness and acceptance early on. A human man by the name of Douglas took her in like a father, and gave her the name ""Spud"". He particularly liked puns and what spud eventually learned to be called ""dad jokes"". So the name was quite fitting. She grew to understand the village was home to many that were very different from each other. Different races and ages. Different stories and tragedies. Each now living in the Vale to enjoy peace. Some of these people, like Douglas, had come from a life of fighting. They graciously took time to teach Spud some fighting tactics with a bow and polearm, where she became quite proficient. Eventually, Spud's wanderlust to see outside the Vale became too strong to hold her still. The people were supportive and understood. They gave her provisions, a few extra dad jokes from Douglas, and a lot of hugs before she set out on her adventure. With her carefree attitude, she goes where the wind takes her. She meets a human named Dale who she becomes very close to, and eventually joins him in the guild of the Covenant of the Black Rose. She cherishes the new friends she makes while also keeping the lessons of the Vale and Douglas close to her heart.
