Journal, Entry I — The Shore

I awoke upon a raft adrift on the grey tide, salt biting my lips and the wind whispering names I could not recall. The sand beneath me was cold, unfamiliar. My body was my own, yet my past—gone, like smoke in the dawn.

Beside me, a single journal, weathered but mine by instinct alone. Its pages hold no words I understand, yet my hand trembles with the urge to write. There lingers within my mind the faint echo of an old tongue—ancient, fading, but not lost.

I know not who I was, only that the sea has returned me to the world for a reason. So I shall walk it. From village to ruin, from forest to keep, I will seek the fragments of what once was—my name, my purpose, my truth.

Let the road bear witness to my remembrance.
