Origin Story
Thelvos Vadas was once a name whispered in the dark alleys of the world, a name that struck fear in the hearts of the powerful. As a master assassin, his reputation for completing the deadliest contracts without leaving a trace earned him the moniker The Shadow Reaper. His life was one of cold precision, an existence ruled by the blade and blood. No target was too difficult, no task beyond his reach, but this life left him hollow. Every soul he took added to a growing emptiness within him, and the weight of his past began to crush his spirit.
The turning point came during his final contract. The target was a noble family, including a young child. As Thelvos raised his blade, ready to carry out his duty, something inside him shattered. He saw in the child's eyes a reflection of the life he had never lived—a life of warmth, friendship, and love. For the first time, he hesitated, and that hesitation marked the end of his assassin's path. Instead of finishing the job, he left behind the tools of his trade and disappeared, leaving the name The Shadow Reaper to fade into myth.
Years later, Thelvos reemerged in the world, but he was no longer the cold killer he once was. He sought redemption, though not through penance or isolation. He wanted to experience the world that he had been denied during his life as an assassin—the beauty, the joy, the adventure. He longed for a purpose that did not involve death.
It was during this new chapter of his life that he met two kindred spirits—Vael, a mercenary with a sharp wit and an even sharper sword, and Kaina, a free-spirited healer with a penchant for mischief. Together, they formed an inseparable trio, bound not by destiny but by choice. Vael, who had his own troubled past, saw in Thelvos a brother who understood the burden of violence. Kaina, ever the optimist, brought light and laughter into Thelvos' life, showing him that there was more to the world than survival.
The trio wandered the world, seeking out new lands, forgotten ruins, and untold mysteries. Each journey was an opportunity for Thelvos to rediscover himself, to see the world not as an enemy to be conquered but as a place full of wonder. Though the ghosts of his past still haunted him, his friends helped him bear the weight.
While Thelvos still carried the skills of his former life, he vowed never to kill unless it was to protect his friends or the innocent. His hands, once stained with blood, now built campfires, held maps, and helped his companions in moments of need. He became a protector rather than a predator, a man who had seen the worst the world had to offer and chosen to rise above it.
And so, the name Thelvos Vadas no longer carried the weight of an assassin's legacy. It became a name known for adventure, friendship, and the relentless pursuit of a life worth living. The shadows of his past remained, but now they were merely part of a larger tapestry—one woven with the bright threads of companionship and the thrill of discovery.
Thelvos Vadas, once a shadow, had finally stepped into the light.
