Origin Story

Thorfinn was born and raised in the mountains of the south. His village was nestled high in the foothills of the mountains. There was little in the way of opportunity to be had, outside of raising sheep. But these rugged lands produced rugged men, and with little to sell, his people learned to sell their ferocity to the softer fall of the lowlands.

A fighter, like may of his people, Thorfinn has trained primarily with the defensive style of his homeland. Employing his large shield to protect his allies, and picking his moments to break the enemy line with his sword or axe.

Leaving his home to make coin to send back to his village, he took up mercenary work where he could find it. Eventually he found himself in the company of Sir Balisar Falconwood's company "The Silver Falcons". They were a fine group of men, and Sir Balisar was a fair and charismatic captain. Thorfinn being an amicable man, made fast friends with the other young bloods in the company, and grew quite fond of them.

So, when after a profitable seige concluded, he joined with a group of his fellows to escort his friend Edwin back home to marry his betrothed. Little did he know this act of comradery would save his life. For the remainder of the Silver Falcons were ambushed shortly after their departure; and Sir Balisar was captured or slain.

Thorfinn and his company continued their travels to Edwin's beloved. But, needing funds, they traveled through the empire and found themselves in strange company. For, with a chance meeting at their campsite, they met a merchant named Frynn and his wife Marishka. The pair were with a group called the Nameless Circus, from the distant lands of Spamania. They welcomed his group with open arms and hot pizza.

So, when the members of the circus were called to arms by their emperor, Thorfinn and company gladly joined them in battle.

After several clashes on the battlefield, they toasted their victory with the circus at the "night if the long table". The group was given the nickname "The Handsome Bachelors" in honour of their quest, and brought into the fold. It was here the leader of the Spamanians, Zephyr, invited the lot of them to join their guild.

After farewells, and a return home to see Edwin wed, the friends decided they would return to bicolline in 1026 and take them up on their offer.
