Noorie came up in the north side of Silver Snowpine mountains, named for the trees that flourish there. The needles produced by the trees contain traces of silver, creating a prismatic mural when the sun hits the mountain just right.

Her clan holds the waxing moon the highest regard, as a symbol of unhaltable change and growth. Celebratory rituals take place only when the light of the moon shines through the aurora. Then, the beasts of the north are welcomed as honored guests in the village. The regal beasts each choose a worthy person to teach the ways of the wild, and thus the druids are selected.

Noorie was apprenticed to the great polar bear, wise and enduring. Her education was punishing, yet rewarding. When she returned to the village after years, she was given a heros welcome. It was shortlived, however, as she was soon tasked to leave once more. 

In an effort to avoid stagnation, the elders send young druids out into the civilised world every few years. Noorie took this quest to heart, and set out to Castia to join. the university. 

She was set to return home when the dicovery of a horrid secret stopped her in her tracks. A secret well-guarded by the elders of the clan. Now she isn't sure whether to return, but hopes the time away will help her find clarity among her tempestuous thoughts.

One Professor Hinkyjink Biggleydink was looking for volunteers to investigate an excavation to the east. Norrie gladly signed up,  eager for any reason not to return home.
