Eira Ashmere

Eira was born in the peaceful village of Brambledown, a quiet settlement tucked between green hills and ancient woodlands. Her family had lived there for generations, known for cultivating rare herbs and producing some of the finest healing salves in the region. As a child, Eira wandered the edges of the woods searching for unusual flowers. 

Her mother, Willow Ashmere, was the village healer and taught Eira everything she knew about herbs, roots, and remedies. The two were inseparable until one autumn evening when Willow failed to return from a gathering expedition in the Old Forest. The disappearance shocked Brambledown. Search parties combed the woods for weeks but found no sign of her. Most assumed she had become lost in a storm or fallen into one of the hidden ravines that crisscrossed the forest. Eira never believed those explanations.

The day before her mother vanished, Willow had spoken of discovering something strange deep within the woods: a stone door covered in ivy and marked with symbols no hobbit could read. For years, Eira searched quietly for clues. During one of her walks, she discovered a small silver key hidden beneath the roots of an ancient oak. Tied to it was a faded green ribbon embroidered with her mother's initials. From that day forward, Eira devoted herself to uncovering the truth.

Most of her neighbors see her as a pleasant, if somewhat quiet, herbalist. Few know that beneath her cozy routine lies a determined investigator who spends her evenings studying old maps, forgotten songs, and local legends. Her research has led her to tales of an ancient hobbit kingdom said to exist beyond the known borders.
