| Over the centuries many people have claimed to have power over the elements themselves, very few truly did. This is our story. They think of us as conmen, here to plunder their wealth under the guise of magic - yet this couldn’t be further from the truth. Magic is simple and assured, weather on the other hand is a fickle thing, always changing with little to no warning. Try as we might, we cannot change the weather, only manipulate it and even then only for a short time. We’ve come to find that the more mages working to manipulate the weather the easier it becomes. This is why we have wandered, in search of others with our talents to bolster our numbers. We’ve roamed for years across Mundus, from Berkwald to Ozame, Andore to Cité des Sables, funding our travels by selling the weather to the highest bidder. As aforementioned, the weather is difficult to change, using a silent auction gave us a certain amount of leeway if and when things went awry, a practice that remains to this day. This had the advantage of exposing our talents to individuals who shared similar capabilities, leading some to join our caravan in search of knowledge and adventure. The solar and goodwill gained through our rituals easily allowed us to maintain a comfortable lifestyle as we travelled the lands. When our grand adventure led us to Kafe we found little in the way of magic. Kafiens being a people more dedicated to religion and martial prowess, this did not come as a surprise to us. So we made haste to Carcosa, a land where rumours told of magic and wonder. There we found a teacher willing to disclose the secrets to manipulating the raw elements. After claiming this knowledge, we concluded we were ready to establish the foundations of Tempestarii. The only question was where. Much discussion was had between all members with many regions being argued for and against, eventually though we unanimously decided to lay down roots in Berkwald. We are making our way there as we speak, excited by the prospect of the bright future that awaits us. | ||
