It was around the year 1000 that [Lord Artagnan](/wiki/bicolline/people/lord-artagnan/) decided to more seriously invite guilds and noble families to come and settle in his province. At the time, he had no idea of the excitement that would follow this decision.

The first years of the millennium were shaken by real expansion campaigns in [Dinant](/wiki/bicolline/regions/federation-argannaise/dinant/). Almost all of the strongholds in the province would vibrate to the sound of steel and war machines. The year 1004 finally brought a truce to the clashes and mainly the guilds of Brabancourt, Compagnons du Destin and Montfort established themselves in Dinant.
