Like many other regions, [Andore](/wiki/bicolline/regions/andore/) was once a province of the [Empire](/wiki/bicolline/regions/empire/). They became their own nation [in 712](https://ghoria.org/pages/lieu.php?&id_lieu=5&id_type=0&id_guilde=1000) when **[Emperor Gar I](/wiki/bicolline/people/gar-i/)** [was forced to acknowledge](https://ghoria.org/pages/lieu.php?&id_lieu=1&id_type=0&id_guilde=1000) the independence vote by Andorian lords after years of rebellion and unrest.
