Political System

The King and Queen of [Irendille](/wiki/bicolline/regions/irendille/) are the sovereigns of the realm, but political decisions are made by the Grand Council of Irendille. The Grand Council of Irendille is composed of the Istima (elected to a position on the Grand Council), the representative of [Taluskan](/wiki/bicolline/regions/irendille/taluskan/), the Turco (representatives of guilds or clans), and the Nolwë (representatives of cities). For a decision to be made by the Grand Council, a quorum must be met at meetings, and the motion must receive a majority of votes.

The Noa Handa, or Charter of Irendille, is the document to which all decisions must conform and forms the basis of the Irendillan political system.
