Political System

The King and Queen of Irendille are the sovereigns of the realm, but political decisions are made by the Grand Council of Irendille. The Grand Council of Irendille is composed of the Istima (elected to a position on the Grand Council), the representative of Taluskan, the Turco (representatives of guilds or clans), and the Nolwë (representatives of cities). For a decision to be made by the Grand Council, a quorum must be met at meetings, and the motion must receive a majority of votes.

The Noa Handa, or Charter of Irendille, is the document to which all decisions must conform and forms the basis of the Irendillan political system.
