Faithful to its principles of justice, the population of Ozame tried to set up an army of volunteers to oppose the armies of Vand'Hal, Lambertrand and Osgoroth during the Bryas War in the year 1002. But due to a lack of sufficient means to Being able to go to Bryas in time, they could only note with bitterness that the slave market was further consolidated and multiplied its ramifications.
The land of Bryas is an extensive territory located west of the banks of Kintzheim and north of the gates of Vigo. Its southern borders are delimited by the sea, while those to the north are lost in the hostile and little-known regions of the Terres d'Auquesse. Bryas' territory is under the control of numerous warlords divided into clans, living semi-nomadically, trading salt, honey, furs, and, above all, selling slaves to the Kingdoms of Nasgaroth, Arganne, and the Empire. While these clans are prosperous, war and slavery have been common for hundreds of years. There are eight major peoples, also known as tribes, in Bryas, divided into a multitude of clans. Each people has its own customs and morals, along with a specific part of the Bryas region. The Tanech, Guth, and Huton peoples are known for having most of the warrior clans, while the Alvaz, Katan, Kin-La, Byre, and Kahouna peoples include the majority of clans from which the slaves come. The Bryas slave market is by far the largest slave trading network in the known world. The only other real competitor is the Land of Sands, which also supplies the Kingdom of Arganne and the Eastern coast of the Empire. The Bryas market, a true economic pillar, has often been an object of desire, leading to conflicts, but throughout modern history, it was never in serious danger, at least until 1002 CE by Gar III... Since the end of the tenth century, the market was practically controlled by Maieur de Herdal, a key figure in the slave trade. He did business with three groups that held a monopoly on trade: House Osgoroth, mandated supplier by the Kingdom of Nasgaroth; the Vand'hal guild, supplying the lucrative imperial market; and the merchant guild of Lambertrand's companions, ensuring the needs of the rich landowners of the Kingdom of Arganne were met. The ever-growing demand for slaves caused their price to rise, escalating tension between the three networks. This tension transformed into open war upon the announcement of Maieur de Herdal's death. Accusing each other of murder and each claiming total control of the slaves in Bryas, the three guilds sparked a large-scale conflict that spread beyond the Land of Bryas. Many mercenaries under the orders of the Gargoyle of Lambertrand, the Vand'hal people led by King Awen Morjambe, and the Nasgaroth Battalions commanded by Count Ashtar Osgoroth vowed to settle the fate of Bryas. A fourth front, an anti-slavery movement unofficially supported by the Kingdom of Ozame, also joined the conflict. At the end of the summer of 1002, grossly outnumbered and braving enemy fire, the forces led by the coalition of King Morjambe and House Osgoroth achieved a spectacular feat by annihilating Lambertrand's forces. An agreement was then reached between the Vand'hal people and House Osgoroth for the sharing of the Bryas market. Anti-slavery activists did not throw in the towel and promised a war of attrition. The year 1004 also experienced a difficult episode in this sense when Lord Ashtar Osgoroth made the decision to free a number of slaves in his lands of Nasgaroth. Some revolts then fomented in Bryas, but the Guth tribe put them down with force. It was in Nasgaroth itself that the effects were most felt. Responsibility for the trade for Nasgaroth has since been removed from the hands of Lord Ashtar Osgoroth, now removed from office. Many thought that a new conflict would then break out, but the diplomatic corps of the Vand'hal people succeeded, once again against all odds, in preserving the agreements of 1002 and thus maintaining stability in Bryas.

Since the end of the tenth century, the market was, for all practical purposes, controlled by Maieur de Herdal, a key figure in the slave trade. The latter then did business with three groups which held a monopoly on trade: House Osgoroth, supplier mandated by the Kingdom of Nasgaroth, the Vand'hal guild, supplying the lucrative imperial market, and the merchant guild of Lambertrand's companions, who ensured that the needs of the rich landowners of the Kingdom of Arganne were met.

This tension truly transformed into open war upon the announcement of the death of Mayor of Herdal. Accusing each other of having murdered him and each claiming total control of the slaves in the land of Bryas, the three guilds controlling the networks sparked a large-scale conflict that spread far beyond the Land of Bryas.
Many mercenaries under the orders of the Gargoyle of Lambertrand, the Vand'hal people led by King Awen Morjambe and the Nasgaroth Battalions commanded by Count Ashtar Osgoroth, promised to cross swords to settle the fate of Bryas. A fourth front also joined the conflict. It was an anti-slavery movement unofficially supported by the Kingdom of Ozame.

The war for the country of Bryas will be merciless because the stakes are enormous. A pillar of the economy of the central lands, slavery is present throughout the Empire, including the kingdom of Arganne, the kingdom of Nasgaroth, the Land of Sands and many independent cities. The land of Bryas is located west of Kintzheim opposite the Imperial Banks. Half of the slaves exploited in the central lands come from this region.
The three largest trafficking networks do business with Maieur de Herdal, a key figure in the slave market. These three large networks are under the respective control of the Vand'hal people who control almost the entire slave market in the Empire, House Osgoroth who is in charge of supplying slaves to all of southern Nasgaroth and the merchant guild of the Compagnons de Lambertrand which supplies the rich landowners of the kingdom of Arganne.
The ever-increasing demand for slaves in recent years has increased their price and the tension between the three networks, which truly turned into open war upon the announcement of the death of Mayor of Herdal. Accusing each other of having murdered him and each claiming total control of the slaves in the land of Bryas, these three powerful guilds have triggered the irreversible spiral of a war which risks spreading well beyond the country of Bryas.
The Vand'hal people, through their king Awen Mordjambe, were the first to claim total control of the slaves from Bryas and are already amassing troops on the islands of the Vigo Gate.
The reaction of Count Ashtar of Osgoroth was immediate by sending two battalions from Nasgaroth, supported by numerous dark elf mercenaries from Zardok and Harganeth who are marching towards the black river.
The Companions of Lambertrand, who know better than anyone how lucrative this trade is, have ordered their men and mercenaries to go to the port of Koenigsbourg and do not fail to proclaim loudly and clearly that this market is theirs by right.
The support enjoyed by these three networks on the political and monetary level is so powerful that no representative of the free world has even dared to comment on the fate of the country of Bryas, with the exception of the kingdom of Ozame. But barring an unlikely miracle the land of Bryas will soon be torn apart by the armies of King Mordjambe, Count Ashtar and Lambertrand's Gargoyle.
Dear adventurers, here you are before a war with many facets, we let you think about your involvement with this sentence from the rebel lord Jean de Colmont:
“The cause does not matter, once the sword is drawn only one thing matters: The enemy”
