Nasgaroth

Origins

According to the dark elves, Mundus used to be completely dark. When the creator god had the idea to create beings to populate the world, he created the perfect species in total darkness. This species, dark elves, grew in sophistication and intellect. One day, the creator had the idea to create light to admire his creation. Pleased with what he saw, he wanted to create more. However when he tried to copy it, he made the wood elves, who were a sad imitation of the perfection of the dark elves. Always chasing the perfect copy, the creator made species after species. Thus were born the blue men, the leprechauns, the satyrs, the goblins and the orcs until his last failure - humans, weak and mortal. Ashamed, he decided to no longer intervene in creation. He took humans as his protégés in order to give them a chance of survival.

The other gods chose their spheres of influence and their preferred species. The elves believe they were the only species to remain without god because gods feared their power.

While this story is not accepted by all, most historical evidence does suggest dark elves were one of, if not the, oldest civilization. Blue men oral tradition says they were there long before us, the witnesses of the world. Other titles given to them are the guardians of the moonstone and the eternals.

Dark elf tradition speaks of nine immortal families of Tolimarth. While my knowledge of portals is limited, I believe Tolimarth is another plane that exists outside of Mundus. Due to the influence of this extra-planer magic, many other species find the magic of Nasgaroth strange and disturbing.

In the past, the dark elves allowed some humans to settle in the provinces of Harganeth and Nasgaroth (the province has the same name as the region.) However dark elf extremists exterminated all the humans present after barely a century.

Tolimarth is the mother province where Queen Malika lived. Some stories also speak of Mondakasgoroth, an underground city that was closed up by sage dark elves to protect their people.

In the Kerouze Mountain range, between Nasgaroth and the Imperial province of Kintzheim, the earth shattered following the explosions of the telluric zones and the exit of the ruins of Seringot in the heart of the Damahur Strait, bringing about a change drastic impact of some formerly inaccessible mountain passes.

They were shepherds who were the first to arrive in the great city of Happlaincourt with an improbable story of these ancient ruins lost in the mountains near Ir, revealed by the recent cataclysms. They were greeted with ridicule until they showed off their mysterious loot: gold coins struck with an anvil and decorated with runic symbols.

Word quickly spread from domain to domain, and soon the inns of Kintzheim were crowded with treasure hunters and adventurers of all kinds, all with a very specific idea in mind: was this the mythical dwarven city of Karadoum which had been revealed by these mountain collapses. And what about the mysterious crypt of the Thousand Spikes which according to rumors was also buried in the region?

The legends were old, certainly, but they spoke freely of the riches of the Forge of the Ancients, the very heart of Karadoum. It was no surprise that multiple expeditions were set up, each with the express aim of getting their hands on these legendary riches!

300 - Early clashes with humans

Starting with Emperor Nortgr invasion in around the year 300, the dark elves of Nasgaroth were plunged into conflict with humans. Though the war with the Empire ended in 512, the long problems had just begun.

998 - War with King Solar of Andore and Emperor Gar III

In 998, a few hundred years after Emperor Polignac pulled the last of his troops from Nasgaroth, another

For as long as could be remembered, the dark elves possessed an artifact known as the moonstone which was said to hold the key to the immortality of the dark elves. According to legend, the stone was stolen by swamp Orcs and later came into the possession of Andorian nobles, specifically guarded by the Lord of Brabancourt.

Efforts by the High Council of Nasgaroth to diplomatically recover the moonstone proved futile, prompting Queen Malika to take decisive action. She appointed her son, Morath, to lead an unprecedented army of dark elves on a mission to reclaim the moonstone at any cost - the survival of the dark elves depended on it. Morath was able to gain the support of several human and orc soliders in his quest.

Despite facing challenging path, Morath's forces under command of Khrishnack an orc officer managed to reach the clearing where the moonstone was believed to be located. A fierce battle ensued against Brabancourt's troops, marked by relentless assaults and strategic maneuvers. Ultimately, Morath emerged victorious, securing the moonstone for the dark elves.

1005 - Rise of Uskuda and the war of the Central Lands

Uskuada was a powerful necromancer from Nasgaroth. Driven by her devotion to Teratos and desire to open the portal of Gadar-Hos, she moved towards her objective to capture the major telluric points of power in the world. Uskuada’s quest led her to commit great violence.

An alliance of Andore and the True Faith was able to defend the telluric zone and keep Uskuada form using it to fuel the portal, but not before she destroyed the city of IIma Oron in Irendile.

Night of Ka-Ba-Oloth -

The telluric zone of Oron was defended by the forces of the True Faith and Andore.

As part of Uskuada’s plan to capture the major telluric points in the world to activate the Gardar-Hos portal, the Irendile city of Iima Oron must happen

The activation ceremony of the portal had to take place from this precise location, and it was not without difficulties because the entire kingdom of Irendille and well-intentioned people intended to mobilize to thwart it.

The region of Oron is very wild, covered with dense forest and crossed by numerous rivers. Fighting in this environment is not easy, especially against the border residents of Irendille who grew up there. The forces of Chaos know this and have prepared for it. Their army is supported by many forest trolls and green-skinned creatures.

The border residents of Irendille fought long and bravely. Nevertheless, Lolth's proteges fulfilled their dark designs. In the heart of this opaque night, Oron's Ilma exploded under the pressure of the magic of the priestess mages of Nasgaroth, bringing with it its magical protection.

The wave of destruction was felt by all the great mages of this world. When the sun finally rose on Oron, there was no trace of its besiegers. Messengers then left from all over the Kingdom of Irendille to announce the imminent arrival of reinforcements. Ilma was destroyed, but the city and its occupants were not about to be taken without delivering a fierce battle.

Already, rumors say that negotiations are underway to form a convoy that would depart for the Isle of the Heirs with the mandate to bring back a new Ilma. This mission was successfully accomplished. Diving into the ruins of Silmaëlle, explorers found an Ilma and brought it back to the heart of the City, but not without sacrifices.

Night of Ka-Ba-Oloth

Great Exodus - 1010

After so many centruries of conflict and disaster and little hope that the Guardians would return to restore order, dark elves decided to leave the central lands. The High Sages of Morak An Graef and Tolimarth called upon their people for a total exodus from Nasgaroth. Tens of thousands of dark elves marched towards the Tolternoth portal towards the promise of a new world.

While many were not sad to see them go, many were concerned about the portal to the Abyss of Tolternoth, which would be left unguarded after the last dark elf went through. The elves of Irendille wished to close the portal where as the Three Crowns Alliance (Haldorf, Arganne and Kafe) wished to take control of it. The Three Crowns were victorious and prevented Irendille from closing the portal.

The Queen
Akilam, with her Seringot armies, was the first to leave the ancestral lands for Tolternoth.
The entire fleets of Sudd andAnd it is now up to Grand Matron Isaaracneida and Lord Syrtar the Dark to pass on the “legacy”. And it is to those who remained in Nasgaroth, the latter
representatives of the race remaining in the central lands, that it will be handed over. 3 militias are demobilized.

1016 - King Isae of Fenriss is the despot ruler of Nasgaroth

Since 1019 Nasgaroth has been ruled by Varania Do-Denir, a dark elf.

In 1023, multiple telluric faults opened allowing more creatures from beyond the plane of Mundus to enter. These include the Demonettes of Noirelle, mythical creatures who lure people in with their charm before devouring them.

August 1016: King Isae of Fenriss reigns as despot on Nasgaroth.

August 1015: The king of Nasgaroth is Isae of Fenriss.
