Each religion and region will have different stories and explanations for how supernatural forces or fantasy species work. However, for the scholar who wishes to delve deeper, there are some records. Secondary sources are not hard to come by, simply ask an established scholar. But primary sources are rare. Documents like the Tablettes Savoir provide some clues.
In the year 1009, the departure of the guardians of knowledge left people seeking answers. Religious preachers seize the opportunity to convert followers, leading to chaotic conflicts among seven religions. The Circle and Teratos gain the most advantage in these clashes, with no respite from the recurring calamities affecting the world. Fears of the end of an era prompt a futile exodus, and amidst the chaos, voices from various belief systems emerge, claiming to guide people through turbulent times. However, a total war between different faiths looms as they blame each other for the calamities. Leaders of major religions mobilize their followers for an impending battle. The Holy See rallies the faithful, Teratos prepares in Syrn, Iliaca's priestesses call believers, and the Circle religion directs followers to Toirac. Solara's and Gorghor Baey's followers are also warned to prepare for the worst. Amidst this turmoil, a lone pilgrim preaches that only one belief among the seven will prevail, and the chosen one will receive the powers of the Great Book. In Loren's tournament qualifiers, armies representing different beliefs gather for the Great Battle. The Sun God Gorghor Baey, self-sufficient, remains above the conflict. A coalition forms against the true faith, which denies the existence of other gods. In the third chapter, Gorghor Baey gives a staff of power to Teratos. Ultimately, Gorghor Baey's forces achieve 11 objectives with 30 men, while the true faith achieves 14 with 450 men. The main objective of the Great Battle is to gather Tablets of Knowledge, revealing Bicolline's history and future clues. A coalition of right-thinking people aims to share knowledge, but conscientious objectors, including Gorghor Baey's men, thwart their plans. Gorghor's horde acquires the crucial Tablet of the Unspeakable, and Mage Glahul deciphers its content. The Great Battle also witnesses the incarnation of the Sun God Gorghor Baey, marking his first appearance since Transubstantiation. However, this event remains private and fails to convince his detractors.
Finally, the priestesses of the goddess of life, Solara and those of the Sun God Gorghor Baey warned their respective followers to prepare for the worst.
The armies gathered for the Great Battle oppose each other in a conflict of religions. Omnipotent and self-sufficient, the Sun God Gorghor Baey knows he is above these considerations. A series of three chapters allows each of the gods to shine. The arrogance of the true faith, which denies the existence of any other god, provokes a coalition of other religions to eliminate this paranoid sect. During the third chapter, Gorghor Baey, in possession of a staff of power, chooses to give it to Teratos, a gesture which is probably not unrelated to the latter's contribution in Transubstantiation. In total, the 30 men r-epresenting Gorghor Baey achieved 11 objectives, while the true faith, with 450 men, achieved 14. Which allows us to say that a Ghorean is worth 10 real times.

The objective of the Great Battle seems both capital and trivial: it is a question of gathering Tablets of Knowledge, which will allow us to know the History of Bicolline and give clues about its future. The men of arms are not very passionate about the subject and allow themselves to be brought together by the men of the pen into a large coalition of right-thinking people wanting to unite to share knowledge.
Fortunately, a few conscientious objectors, including Gorghor Baey's men, decide to prevent this farandole. Gorghor's horde gets their hands on the Tablet of the Unspeakable, the most important of all. The talents of Mage Glahul make it possible to decipher its content, which to do well, does not share this knowledge.
The battle is also the occasion of an incarnation of the Sun God Gorghor Baey, a first presence since Transubstantiation to replace the Sun. This appearance, however, is private and will not convince his detractors...for the moment.
In 1006, just after the naming of Hubert as governor of Haldorf, Emperor Gar III was assassinated and Gorghor Baey proclaimed himself the new emperor. Hubert refused to serve the new self-proclaimed emperor without the approval of the True Faith. Hubert of Haldorf succeeded in convincing his barons to revolt with the slogan: “Long live free Haldorf!” If the Empire did not submit to the authority of the True Faith, Haldorf would separate.
On the other hand, the province of Haldorf and its allies humiliated Gorghor Baey by razing the monument erected in his honor as retaliation for the affronts he had inflicted on the True Faith...
Prince Nakan Ossan of Jabba Hal decided to settle in the central lands and chose the kingdom of Argane for the start of his conquest. To clean up this region and establish a bridgehead before his arrival, he hired the most famous but above all the cruelest mercenary in the world of Bicolline, the much-feared Gorgor Baey. The news had a devastating effect on the population of the kingdom of Argane, a wave of panic seized its inhabitants, many of them had already begun to flee to find refuge in the lands of the Kingdom of Andore. Prince Nakan Ossan would have paid a colossal sum to Gorgor Baey for the needs of the cause, the figure of 12,000 solars has been put forward. A gigantic army of mercenaries equipped with several siege engines is gathering along the Bonaguil River north of Argane.
And to those who do not fight for their freedom or for any cause other than their own, he reminds that he paid 12,000 solars to the Horde of Gorghor Beay so that the latter assembles a force capable of realizing the virtuous intentions of his Generous Magnificence.
The Empire responded by ransacking of the domains belonging to the Phoenix Guild and mandating Holy Order of the Iron Fist to crush the army of Prince Gabriel I in Berkwald and bring him back to the capital for his public execution. Some feared the Empire would break up over the council, especially given the already tense situation with the Imperial Council between Gorghor Bey and the Holy Order of the Iron Fist. With the True Faith Iron Fist declaring the self-proclaimed god, Gorghor Bey, was an anathema no unified imperial front could be raised (see Empire - Gorghor Bey)
By 1004, Gorghor boldly claimed to be a God, creating tension with imperial guilds following the True Faith, notably the Poing de Fer. The True Faith labeled Gorghor Bey as an anathema, an enemy greater than the chaos troops of Garganesh or necromancers of Teratos. This sparked court conspiracies and proxy wars, intensifying the conflict between Gorghor's horde and the followers of the True Faith in the empire.
With the path to the throne clear, Gorghor Bey proclaimed himself not only a God but also the new emperor. However, widespread dissent, particularly in the True Faith stronghold of Haldorf, resisted Gorghor's rule. This resistance led to a total war, culminating in the destruction of the abbey of True Faith founder Sainte-Abelle and the theft of the holy relic, the heart of Sainte Abelle herself.
Before long opposition had grown and Gorghor Bey was besieged in his own home. Despite facing military defeat, Gorghor achieved his true purpose. In 1007, he combined the heart of Sainte-Abelle with another artifact, the Chalice of Syrn, resulting in his ascension to the sun where his followers claim he now resides. The legacy of Emperor Gorghor Bey varies depending on who tells the story. Horde followers claim that consuming the heart granted him immense power, turning him into the sun itself. However, adversaries argue that becoming the sun was a form of punishment for his actions and he is burning eternally.
On the first of may 1018, a great yell was heard in Phala, one of the domains in Haldorf. « JE SUIS GORGHOR BAEY! », the call of the once-Emperor, now God-sun, was so powerful it put the Phala dungeon to ruins. At the same time, more than a dozen Imperial banners marched into the rest of Haldorf bringing havoc and destruction. This was but the first of several seasons of imperial attacks on Haldorf.
