Basic Info
The lands of Auquesse became a unified country in 2018 with the unity of the provinces of Byras, Garganesh, and Tolimarth.
Auquesse is led by the Great Khan who is said to be the representative of Tenamuach, a powerful cosmic entity. Tenamuach, known to some as the Great Devourer, is associated with the occult art of Skull magic where mages provide human sacrifices in exchange for power.
Since Tenamuach’s arrival, many people have arrived in the lands of Auquesse to be closer to him.. However the original local people are nomadic, divided into tribes continually waging war to attract the favors of a Tenamuahc. They are renowned for cannibalism, aggressiveness, dark magic and and bloodthirsty lifestyle.
Auquesse is one of the least hospitable regions in our world. It is heavily covered by immense forests full of Dantoës trees, coniferous with toxic sap and needles. To the east past a little explored forest, are the Aoxomoxoa mountains and just beyond them, the Mistlands. Other geographical features include the Black River which flows through the province of Garganesh and the Zardok mountains.
Important areas in Auquesse includes the great city of Chaos, Garganesh which is built on a high telluric place marked by one of the 8 stones of chaos.

Great Khan Morcius Sicarius Hakasson
The current Great Kahn is Morcius Sicarius Hakasson.
Morcius comes from the hidden city of Syrn. Before becoming Khan, his mission was to return the Hunda In 1006, Morcius left Syrn to walk once again under the stars. It was then revealed to him that his ancestors were a race descended from the First Men, the Hundars. He was henceforth tasked with bringing them back into the world of the living so that the perpetual hunt could resume.
Fierce and devoted to the cause of Teratos, Morcius received the apostolate of the Beast in 1010, along with the command of the War Dogs. In 1013, he performed a grand ritual through which he and his comrades became Hundars. Thus was formed the Hundar’Arda, of which he proclaimed himself the supreme leader, the Reiks’ar.
Eager for predation and danger, he joined the forces that confronted the follies of the Messenger and Lo'Vokun. The globally significant conflict profoundly changed his vision of existence. During the events of the Maelstrom, he understood that dedicating himself to Evil was superfluous. He must aim for Power in all its forms.
His prowess in combat, his will, and his great talent for leading both men and women earned him the favor of Tenamuahc in the winter of 1017. As the Grand Khan, he subsequently contributed to the expansion of Garganesh's influence on the surrounding provinces. He abdicated the teratossian apostolate with the intention of dedicating himself entirely to the occult practice of Pacts. Thus, he founded the Sicarii, an entire order dedicated to ensuring the hegemony of Auqessian occultism and that of Tenemuahc in the Lands of Auqesse and beyond.
Recently, Morcius walks purposefully toward what proves to be a new step in his existence on Mundus. Indeed, by the will of Tenamuahc, he will become the new Emissary of Nesh. For the first time in the history of the world, the functions (and powers) of the Grand Khan and the Emissary will combine in one person. With these new powers, Morcius can continue to ensure the well-being of his nation and his people.
Bryas-
The land of Bryas is an extensive territory located west of the banks of Kintzheim and north of the gates of Vigo. Its southern borders are delimited by the sea, while those to the north are lost in the hostile and little-known regions of the Terres d'Auquesse. Bryas' territory is under the control of numerous warlords divided into clans, living semi-nomadically, trading salt, honey, furs, and, above all, selling slaves to the Kingdoms of Nasgaroth, Arganne, and the Empire. While these clans are prosperous, war and slavery have been common for hundreds of years. There are eight major peoples, also known as tribes, in Bryas, divided into a multitude of clans. Each people has its own customs and morals, along with a specific part of the Bryas region. The Tanech, Guth, and Huton peoples are known for having most of the warrior clans, while the Alvaz, Katan, Kin-La, Byre, and Kahouna peoples include the majority of clans from which the slaves come. The Bryas slave market is by far the largest slave trading network in the known world. The only other real competitor is the Land of Sands, which also supplies the Kingdom of Arganne and the Eastern coast of the Empire. The Bryas market, a true economic pillar, has often been an object of desire, leading to conflicts, but throughout modern history, it was never in serious danger, at least until 1002 CE by Gar III... Since the end of the tenth century, the market was practically controlled by Maieur de Herdal, a key figure in the slave trade. He did business with three groups that held a monopoly on trade: House Osgoroth, mandated supplier by the Kingdom of Nasgaroth; the Vand'hal guild, supplying the lucrative imperial market; and the merchant guild of Lambertrand's companions, ensuring the needs of the rich landowners of the Kingdom of Arganne were met. The ever-growing demand for slaves caused their price to rise, escalating tension between the three networks. This tension transformed into open war upon the announcement of Maieur de Herdal's death. Accusing each other of murder and each claiming total control of the slaves in Bryas, the three guilds sparked a large-scale conflict that spread beyond the Land of Bryas. Many mercenaries under the orders of the Gargoyle of Lambertrand, the Vand'hal people led by King Awen Morjambe, and the Nasgaroth Battalions commanded by Count Ashtar Osgoroth vowed to settle the fate of Bryas. A fourth front, an anti-slavery movement unofficially supported by the Kingdom of Ozame, also joined the conflict. At the end of the summer of 1002, grossly outnumbered and braving enemy fire, the forces led by the coalition of King Morjambe and House Osgoroth achieved a spectacular feat by annihilating Lambertrand's forces. An agreement was then reached between the Vand'hal people and House Osgoroth for the sharing of the Bryas market. Anti-slavery activists did not throw in the towel and promised a war of attrition. The year 1004 also experienced a difficult episode in this sense when Lord Ashtar Osgoroth made the decision to free a number of slaves in his lands of Nasgaroth. Some revolts then fomented in Bryas, but the Guth tribe put them down with force. It was in Nasgaroth itself that the effects were most felt. Responsibility for the trade for Nasgaroth has since been removed from the hands of Lord Ashtar Osgoroth, now removed from office. Many thought that a new conflict would then break out, but the diplomatic corps of the Vand'hal people succeeded, once again against all odds, in preserving the agreements of 1002 and thus maintaining stability in Bryas.
Tolimarth - Morak An Graef:
The province was once considered part of Nasgaroth. It was ruled by Prince Morath, the son of the famous dark elf, Queen Malika. It was once considered the heart of dark elf Nasgaroth as it housed the Grand Council and nine ancient families. Marthomasse, the forbidden city, is at the province's center, guarding the invaluable Moonstones in the Temple Noir. In 9505, the Moonstone cycle ended, and the Grand Matron orchestrated a flawless purification ceremony lasting over 50 weeks. In 9506, the heirs and Grand Matron emerged from the Temple Noir, marking the return of legendary dark elven magical powers felt by mages across the world.
Veldruk Zakath
Summer 1018: The provincial banner of Harganeth Zmenkh s'argten has been dissolved due to lack of maintenance for two years. Added the Army from Beyond the Grave artifact. The Grand Master Archmage stood above his tower from another age, surrounded by his apprentices. Raising his arms in the air, he unleashed purple lightning between the dark clouds. In a terrible voice, he thundered: "Oh great Tenamuach, let your anger be directed towards your true enemies, those who destroyed the Deep of Tolternoth and temporarily broke the access to the arcane. Accept this sacrifice so that the pact continues between us and may our vengeance be complete!” It was then that a family of 15 peasants was taken to the specially built sacrificial altar. It looked like an old, misshapen windmill, decorated with hundreds of skulls on its propellers which slowly turned with the wind, creaking. One after another, the peasants were pushed inside the dark entrance to the mill. After abominable screams of pain and horror, all that came out of the mill was a jet of blood on the side which caused its great wheel to turn like a water mill would. The blood mill was therefore baptized. At the same time as the sacrifice, desolation was being created elsewhere for the Tenamuach. Reinforcement of 5 undead. Veldruk opens the Urn of Torment on his own domain immediately after casting the absorb spell on this effect. (Arak'Naruk, Bicolline.online)

1000s-
1002-1008 Great Khan Caius Brutus
1003 - The armies of Garganesh entered the land of Kafe this winter through the fork of the Enodin River and marched relentlessly towards the sovereign city of Hullsburg. The Great Khan has a precise objective, to reach the ramparts of Kafesclin which constitute the first fortifications protecting the valley of Hullsburg before the black moon in order to attack it on the day of it. Many volunteers from the city's neighborhoods left to lend a hand to the Hullsburg militias preparing the defense of the turrets of Kafesclin, the central point of the valley's fortifications. For a few days now, the men of Hullsburg standing guard have been able to hear terrifying songs growing in intensity every night as the troops of Chaos approach the fortifications. These screams and chants chill the blood of many Hullsburg volunteers, but they know that these screams are nothing compared to those they will hear on the night of the assault when the bloodthirsty troops of Chaos launch into Battle. This night, so feared by some and so desired by others, will bring only one common certainty... Few of them will see the sun rise.

(Siège de Kafesclin)
In 1000, Caius Brutus sides with Gorghor Baey and obtains a position of command following the gift of a very special gift. Indeed, Caius introduces courtesans into Gorghor's entourage, a gift which earns him the favor of the great mercenary leader.
1009 - The demon Tenamuahc, asleep since the calamity of the return of the damned, appears in Garganesh and takes control of the city. His future Khans must prostrate themselves and signify their devotion through sacrifices. See Register of Skulls. The army of Terres d'Auquesse, made up of 14 militias, was demobilized.
1014 - A Garganesh Waste surrounds the Tolternoth Chasm. A horde of Tenamuahc cultists led by High Priest Sicarius gather at the great monoliths of Tolternoth's Deep, summoning the power of time immemorial and the Blood Demon. Using a Veldryn Crystal as a catalyst, Sicarius opens a breach between worlds to teleport the armies of the Infernal Legion and the Tenamuahc Horde to the Argan domains of Riosis and Gravenport! Once the armies are sent to do the dark work of Tenamuahc, hundreds of slaves are brought to the edge of the monoliths, and brutally sacrificed by the cultists. Nesh's words are spoken, and the earth trembles as rivers of magma rise from the depths to cover the region. A Garganesh Desolation is created. As the cultists rejoice at the destruction thus caused, the runes of the Monoliths glow once again, fueled by this bloody primordial magic. A door opens to another world... Who knows what nameless horror will emerge? The army of the 1st Khan defeats the Dark Guard of Akilam and takes possession of the chasm.
1017 - he north wind howls with an icy verb the imminent arrival of winter against the roofs of the cottages of the world of the peoples of the Hippocampus. At this time of year, some migrate and others finish amassing precious provisions for the months of scarcity that lie ahead. But in the land of Garganesh, things are different.
Responding to the call of their only lord, the reiks'ar Morcius Hakasson, the Hundar packs have been converging in recent months towards this region of the Lands of Auquesse, a mystical land saturated with the blood of countless sacrifices for which the cosmic entity that is renowned all fear under the name of Tenemuahc. While some have long believed that this territory is a source of curses, the Hundars perceive things from a completely different angle. For them, it is nothing more and nothing less than a long-desired motherland. Now adorned with the banners of the Hunda'Arda, this place could finally see the glory of future hunts grow. The latest arrivals are now crossing the border and hurrying to reach the domain of Eternal Sun just in time for the festivities of the Akil'ar, "the greatest of hunts" or "the Primordial Hunt". In Hundar tradition, this is the moment when the packs release into the wild a certain number of choice victims that they have captured during the year in order to hunt them one last time. The ultimate goal of the latter is to offer sacrifices to the Great Mother, Hundar, as well as to her son the Savage, in order to appease their hunger sufficiently so that he does not hunt during the winter and avoid that once spring returns, they devour everything in their path.
The celebration of Akil'ar also constitutes a remembrance of the moment when the primordial Beast, Mother-of-All-Monsters, is said to have offered her flesh and her essence to the hunters who venerated her, a devouring which gave birth to the first Hundars. For the first time, the Hundars accepted that some of the Ota'en, the Others, join them for the festivities. So everyone, come and celebrate with them, but also come and feed their Mother Hundar if you want the winter to also be kind to you and the spring to be rich in abundance. And don't forget to offer a gift to the Tenemuahc, if you know what is good for you. But beware! The forests of Garnanesh are never safe. Beware of what lurks in the shadows. Rumors on this subject are numerous... and disappearances are customary. Don't get lost there. And above all, do not stand between the hunters of Akil'ar and their prey... or it will be you who will constitute the meal of honor of the evening
1018 - The Tenamuach makes Morcius Hakasson his Great Khan. The province of Bryas joins the Lands of Auquesse.
yrn opens its doors under the aegis of a new Cerberus. The clergy of Teratos invite you to celebrate his appointment with them. The City of Vice and Corruption will welcome friends and enemies to have fun or negotiate souls and resources with its leaders.
Games, competitions, prizes and ceremonies to glorify the Great Dark One will be there! The guardian of the City will do what none of his predecessors have done: he will listen to your complaints and perhaps try to help you. The evening promises to be sumptuous... but Syrn has her secrets. Braving the mazes of the City to verify the rumor of the Base of Rivals could prove either extremely dangerous, or very beneficial for these poor lost souls... Corrupted, believers and enemies, the City opens its doors and its mysteries to you and the Cerberus welcomes you!
Believers revere the Great Dark One, promoter of Chaos in all its forms. Bone, Flesh, Blood, Beast and Soul are the five ways believers express their devotion. The Soul is what the Great Dark One covets so giving it to Him is the greatest act of faith that can be made!
The beginning of the second millennium saw the rebirth of the city of Garganesh, an infamous military and occult power. Located on the estuary of Fleuve Noir, the Black River, it grew in stature through the conquests of its ruthless Legions and the grace of Tenamuahc, patron entity of the civic cult of Auquesse. Then, five years ago, Terres d’Auquesse became a true nation through the union of the metropolis Garganesh and the provincia Bryas and Tolimarth. According to some archivists, Terres d’Auquesse is the cradle of humanity and the mortal races. A wild, untamed moor covered with forests of Dantoës, conifers riddled with poisonous needles, teeming with tribes of nomads, lycanthropes, Hundars, goblinoids, ice elves, and ogres, most of which worship primal and bloodthirsty entities.
It is in this teeming crucible that the Mensis Martius, the Great Khan Morcius, on the occasion of the nation’s five-year anniversary, declared the celebration of a secular festival to which all – yes all – were invited.
Nobles and commoners of the Terres du Centre will finally get to sample the wild and unique delights of an Auquesse festus publicus, renowned for skillfully combining ritual commemorations and Bachannales.
Tunics and draped togas will be ubiquitous during this unbridled symposium. On the dance floor, guests will be able to compare their agility to that of the imps themselves! At the Marché du Port Noir, the Black Port Market, where even ogres and harpies don the merchant’s toga, you’ll find something to satisfy even the most exotic appetite, for a price sometimes exceeding that of gold. And, as you stroll through the Forum, why not compare your own verses of satyrical poetry with a real satyr? On the parched floor of the public arena, ferocious gladiators will clash before your eyes.
With the Great Evil barely drawing its last breath, the spectre of war once again haunts the lands. Diplomatic delegations from all nations will be able to meet with the Archons and Khans, keeping in mind that for the peoples of Auquesse, armed conflict is a source of joy and life.
“Quando rex comitiavit, fas. Blood for the Tenamuahc; wine for the others!”
History of the Infernal Legion and Caius Brutus Bubonius
Caius was born in the Predator domain in Harganeth, province of Nasgaroth. The year of his birth is unknown, but he was young when the Iron Fist invaded Nasgaroth under the command of Leonidas, an Imperial general...
During this disastrous campaign for the kingdom of Tolimarth, the Iron Fist decimated the Lycan tribe and the brutii gens. Caius's father is killed and he and his mother have no choice but to go beg for help from the local lord. He, like a drow, puts her at his service but this service is in reality more slavery than anything else... The drow torment the mother and her young son who finds employment as a hunting assistant to the lord dark elf. The years pass and Caius grows in strength and ferocity, nourished by the sadness of seeing his clan and his people swept from his lands and also seeing his mother being tormented by the female entourage of the drow lordship.
The years then the decades pass... Caius Brutus is a young adult and he fights in the personal arena of the Lord of Harganeth. His martial abilities earned him preferential treatment from his “master” but he accumulated boundless rage when he saw his mother wasting away in the lord’s entourage.
One day, while fighting several opponents in the arena, he caught a glimpse of his mother in the stands. She cries and is collapsed on the ground, chained. Furious, he knocks down his opponents then throws himself on the wall which separates him from the stands to climb it and jump close to his mother. Under the amused eye of the lord and his entourage... Just as he approaches his mother, the lord makes a gesture and the guards pierce her with their spears. Under the laughter of the drow surrounding him, Caius of the Brutii gens, mad with rage, transforms for the first time into the “Crinos” form of his clan. A sort of feline-humanoid with increased strength, Caius Brutus began to cut and thrust and killed the guards and the Lord's entourage but stopped short before striking him. The drow's unhealthy grin quickly turned and realizing what he had done, Caius fled equipped with his weapons, a gambeson and a light cape...
The Lord of Harganeth set his best trackers after Caius...in vain. The young bastet returned to the lands of his clan and looked for traces of it, thwarting several ambushes set by his former master...
Many years passed and we do not really know what happened to Caius during this time... What we do know is that Caius Brutus traveled the central lands in search of his people without success... All that is certain it is that these years were spent in death, blood, flight and terror. So much so that a rumor arose of a bloodthirsty creature that killed everything it encountered in the forests of the kingdom of Nasgaroth...
This first battle, an ambush which saw the opposing army annihilated, was due to the foresight of the young centurion who succeeded in convincing the officers present to follow his instructions.
The second battle, the siege of Pamoisard, goes badly... The chain of command and the organization of the troops suffer from enormous gaps which see assault after assault shattered on the Argan fortifications. During the years that followed Caius led campaign after campaign against the Redemption, Brabancourt, Le Fhain, Les Lambertrands, Montfort, Irendille, Andore, Ar
from the first days of the summer solstice of the year of grace 1010, the oldest imperial province will burst into flames and once again become the scene of bloody battles. The feared Legion guild, in its ever-constant thirst for blood and expansion, was recently given land in the province of Kintzheim in exchange for which it must eradicate the last tremors of rebellion which are shaking it. Indeed, many citizens refuse to submit to the imperial council for different reasons. Some refute the legitimacy of the Council and demand that an Emperor be crowned, while others still remember the tragedy of Bridier freshly.
However, many people still believe in the One and have taken refuge in the stronghold of Vandabren, the last territory in the Empire still under the authority of Ecclesia. Its inhabitants desperately send missives requesting the intervention of the Holy See. Their appeal was not in vain, during the Purple Ball and in the presence of the Grand Theocrat, the members of the clergy of the True Faith voted in favor of a crusade to avenge the martyrs of Bridier, liberate the province of Kintzheim and face the servants of Chaos.
Some now march to conquer new lands, others are led by their Faith, but all converge in Kintzheim and prepare to turn the earth red once more.

Byras:
May 1018: Kronin Sargasso Aemili is named Khan of Bryas by the Tenamuach.
March 1018: Kronin Sargasso Aemili is elected lord of the province. The province of Bryas joins the Terres d'Auquesse.
The land of Bryas is a vast territory located west of the banks of Kintzheim and north of the gates of Vigo. Its southern borders are demarcated by the sea, while those to the north are lost in the hostile and little-known regions of the Terres d'Auquesse.
The territory of Bryas is under the control of numerous warlords divided into clans who live semi-nomadically, trading salt, honey, furs and above all by selling slaves to the Kingdoms of Nasgaroth, Arganne and the Empire. These clans are prosperous, but war between them, and slavery, has been common for hundreds of years.
There are 8 large peoples in Bryas, also called tribes, which are divided into a multitude of clans. Each people has its own morals and customs, as well as a part of the Bryas region that is specific to it. The Tanech, Guth and Huton peoples are known to have most of the warrior clans, while the Alvaz, Katan, Kin-La, Byre and Kahouna peoples include the majority of the clans from which the slaves come.
The Bryas slave market is by far the largest slave trading network in the known world. The only other real competitor is the Land of Sands which also supplies the Kingdom of Arganne and the Eastern coast of the Empire. The Bryas market, a true economic pillar, was often an object of desire from which many conflicts emerged, but throughout modern history it was never in serious danger, at least until 1002 CE. by Gar III…
Since the end of the tenth century, the market was, for all practical purposes, controlled by Maieur de Herdal, a key figure in the slave trade. The latter then did business with three groups which held a monopoly on trade: House Osgoroth, supplier mandated by the Kingdom of Nasgaroth, the Vand'hal guild, supplying the lucrative imperial market, and the merchant guild of Lambertrand's companions, who ensured that the needs of the rich landowners of the Kingdom of Arganne were met.
The ever-growing demand for slaves caused their price to rise and tension between the three networks. This tension truly transformed into open war upon the announcement of the death of Mayor of Herdal. Accusing each other of having murdered him and each claiming total control of the slaves in the land of Bryas, the three guilds controlling the networks sparked a large-scale conflict that spread far beyond the Land of Bryas.
Many mercenaries under the orders of the Gargoyle of Lambertrand, the Vand'hal people led by King Awen Morjambe and the Nasgaroth Battalions commanded by Count Ashtar Osgoroth, promised to cross swords to settle the fate of Bryas. A fourth front also joined the conflict. It was an anti-slavery movement unofficially supported by the Kingdom of Ozame.
Some revolts then fomented in Bryas, but the tribe of Guth put them down with force.
The war for the country of Bryas will be merciless because the stakes are enormous. A pillar of the economy of the central lands, slavery is present throughout the Empire, including the kingdom of Arganne, the kingdom of Nasgaroth, the Land of Sands and many independent cities. The land of Bryas is located west of Kintzheim opposite the Imperial Banks. Half of the slaves exploited in the central lands come from this region.
The three largest trafficking networks do business with Maieur de Herdal, a key figure in the slave market. These three large networks are under the respective control of the Vand'hal people who control almost the entire slave market in the Empire, House Osgoroth who is in charge of supplying slaves to all of southern Nasgaroth and the merchant guild of the Compagnons de Lambertrand which supplies the rich landowners of the kingdom of Arganne.
The ever-increasing demand for slaves in recent years has increased their price and the tension between the three networks, which truly turned into open war upon the announcement of the death of Mayor of Herdal. Accusing each other of having murdered him and each claiming total control of the slaves in the land of Bryas, these three powerful guilds have triggered the irreversible spiral of a war which risks spreading well beyond the country of Bryas.
The Vand'hal people, through their king Awen Mordjambe, were the first to claim total control of the slaves from Bryas and are already amassing troops on the islands of the Vigo Gate.
The reaction of Count Ashtar of Osgoroth was immediate by sending two battalions from Nasgaroth, supported by numerous dark elf mercenaries from Zardok and Harganeth who are marching towards the black river.
The Companions of Lambertrand, who know better than anyone how lucrative this trade is, have ordered their men and mercenaries to go to the port of Koenigsbourg and do not fail to proclaim loudly and clearly that this market is theirs by right.
The support enjoyed by these three networks on the political and monetary level is so powerful that no representative of the free world has even dared to comment on the fate of the country of Bryas, with the exception of the kingdom of Ozame. But barring an unlikely miracle the land of Bryas will soon be torn apart by the armies of King Mordjambe, Count Ashtar and Lambertrand's Gargoyle.
Dear adventurers, here you are before a war with many facets, we let you think about your involvement with this sentence from the rebel lord Jean de Colmont:
“The cause does not matter, once the sword is drawn only one thing matters: The enemy”
